Vinterferie (DAY 1)

It was winter holiday!

For the first time in my life, I had my winter holiday. Since there's nothing such as winter in Indonesia, so we never have winter holiday. Maybe yang ada malah 'banjir' holiday.

Anyway, this post and my other posts might contain either Indonesian or Norwegian. I don't know why but lately, when I write (something outside from assignments) I put like English, Indonesian and Norwegian together. Sometimes, some words or some sentences can only be said in one language. It could also be all three together in one sentence. IT HAPPENS QUITE A LOT.
But it will be mostly in English to make it fair :)x

I had my winter holiday or "vinterferie" in Norwegian, from 25th February 'til 5th March. Well, it was actually a week but I got fri fagdag (subject day) on friday. So my class' holiday started earlier compared to some other classes. Uyeay!

I didn't go anywhere with my host-family since there were a lot of things going on. We had no problems at all, it was just it. And also, we already went for a 'vacation' earlier in the last week of January. We went to a place called Sauda and it was amazing! My host sister (she goes to a far far away school in Lyngdal and has to live in a dorm) was with us. I must say that it was super fun and I bet everyone was so happy. I'll write something about How Amazing Sauda Was.

I went to a place called Vågslid with my Coordinator's family. My coordinator's name is MayLin and she is such an angel person and plus, her family is amazing. We stayed there from 25th February til 3rd March. To make it simple, it was one week.

It took about more than 3 hours driving from Haugesund. A niece of them came along with us. She is 10 and such a really nice girl. On the way there, we did so much things together; we sang, played, made voices of cats, saw each other's pictures and videos. There were so many tunnels and mountains, typisk norge.
Da var kjempe koselig!
Too bad that Are (their son) and Timmy (a Thailand exchange student) weren't with us. Pretty sure it would be more fun if they were with us. They were driving with a friend of my coordinator.

This is a picture that I took from the car. Such an amazing view that only eyes could see the beauty of it. Don't you agree that it looks like a painting or something?

Once we arrived there, we took out all of our bags and stuffs. It was 9 o'clock in the evening and
IT WAS SO FREAKIN' COLD!
There were so much snow and it was so icy on the stairs. I remember it was -15 celcius when we arrived. I mean, we don't even get 15 celcius in Indonesia. This isn't fair :(
I slipped myself once and thank goodness I didn't fall.
It was licin banget buuuu.

Everyone was very sulten since we didn't have middag before we left.
I
Was
Very
Sulten 💔😭

All I had was 2 slices of bread and it was in 9 o'clock in the morning.
Kebayang kan lapernya kaya apa.

MayLin made Lasagna and langsung abis in like 5 minutes!
Not only because of we were so hungry, it was also because it tasted really good.
Kebayar lah rasa lapar yang kerap menghantui kami semua.

There was wifi in the hytte and the code was crazily complicated. For me, it was like the most complicated password ever.

We ended the day with playing cards, snakker og kakao. Nina spent her time with drawing and she made me draw with her and trust me, drawing is not my thing.

Nina and I tried to force everyone to listen to our music. In other words, it was Marcus & Martinus, Ylvis, Innertier, and some other Norwegian singers. Well, they're not my favorite singers but I like them. Also, I find it helpful for me to understand the Norwegian language by listening to Norwegian songs. Pretty sure everyone was kind of suprised when they knew that I know most of the lyrics in the songs.

I really did spend my time to learn the lyrics.

I noticed that everyone was so tired but that moment was just too precious for us to go to sleep.
The outside night was super calm and the inside night was full of laughters and musics. I have to admit that when you are with the right people, you can just feel the warmth in the cold night.

(The first drawing is about animals with snow stuffs. The second one is about "sea animals" and a mermaid. If you take a closer look, there's a fox with a "air helmet" like Sandy in Spongebob.)

It was such a beautiful day!❄️
